Demand for a skilled workforce in this field is on the rise and there is great potential for mathematical and economic modelling to help guide policy for national health systems and international policymaking.
The Global Health Network
Building health research skills through free accessible online training. To tackle disease, we need a connected ecosystem that joins up all types of health research including observational, social science and clinical. Our eLearning courses are designed to reflect this ecosystem approach.
Meet our students
Since 2015 the NDM Centre for Global Health Research has supported 66 DPhil students and established the successful MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine. Students’ research spans areas such as infectious disease, health systems, emerging threats to health, and therapeutics and diagnostics in resource poor settings. We have a multidisciplinary approach, and collaborate globally with researchers at the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health’s overseas programmes in Kenya, Thailand and Viet Nam and external partners. Our students are involved in research that informs national and international policy and impacts the lives of individuals around the world. NDM-CGHR admits approximately 10 DPhil students each year.
